Star of “Stranger Things” David Harbor will play Alexei in the “Black Widow” film?!
David Harbor from the series “Stranger Things” will be Russian Alexei in the Black Widow solo film from Marvel
It was announced at Comic-Con in San Diego, David Harbor from “Stranger Things” will be one of the actors of the upcoming solo film “Black Widow”!
This time, the series’ Sheriff Hopper will play a certain Alexei Shostakov, the Russian version of Captain America. In the Black Widow film, a lot of Russian characters are expected, just like Natasha herself. Harbor’s career has gained traction thanks to the popular TV series, so there really is nothing surprising in this announcement.
However, fans really struck by a very strange coincidence. As we mentioned, there are a lot of Russian names (whether borrowed or not), but for some reason Harbor got the role of Alexei. The coincidence is that in season 3 of “Stranger Things”, the Russian scientist named Alexei, played by Alec Utgoff, became the undoubted fan favorite. Twitter even invented a holiday in his honor. Is this a coincidence, or are Russian hackers to blame? The Internet is trying to find an answer to this question right now, ignoring the ridicule of stereotypes and cranberries in the series itself!
Natasha Romanoff, better known as the superheroine Black Widow, was one of the Avengers; they finally decided to make her own film. The Black Widow will open a new 4th phase of Marvel; Hawkeye should appear in it and, presumably, reveal the secret of their joint adventure in Budapest, which has already become a meme.
So far, nothing concrete has been said about Harbor's character, but we only need to hear his name to feel the pain of losing him on Season 3 of “Stranger Things”. The series will return to screens with season 4, and the new film with Harbor will be released May 1, 2020.
